Omeros Bros Seafood Restaurant | Marina Mirage, Main Beach
When it comes to seafood on the Gold Coast, it is hard to beat the multi-award winning Omeros Bros Seafood Restaurant. Omeros Bros has over 22 years of experience providing excellent and fresh seafood dishes to its patrons. They feature a constantly changing menu of seasonal specialties that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Something else that we love about Omeros Bros is that they provide a $41.90 set menu, where you get to pick an entree, a main and a dessert for that one price. In addition, they offer a wide variety of fine wine, a la carte meal options, (steak, live seafood, seafood platters, etc) desserts, and beverage packages.

The Lazy Lobster | Marine Parade
Awarded the peoples choice award for best seafood on the Gold Coast, The Lazy Lobster is as tasty as its name is charming. The Lazy Lobster offers a variety of highly affordable seafood dishes along with a beautiful view.
An example of some of the dishes available include, tiger prawns, swordfish steaks, and lobster mornay. What makes the Lazy Lobster a popular favourite is their amazing menu variety. If you are in the mood for seafood, at a good price (mains will set you back around $30) don’t pass up the Lazy Lobster.

Yellowfin Restaurant | Broadbeach
Freshly sourced seafood dishes, served in air conditioned or alfresco dining comfort and on offer for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Wow, the Yellowfin Restaurant, really do earn their award for the No 1 Gold Coast Seafood Restaurant for 2014.
The restaurant can cater for functions for up to 80 people and average prices are around the $35-$40 mark for a tasty seafood sensation. For the non-seafood in your party they also offer organic chicken, sirloin steak and lamb dishes.

Alfresco on Elston | Surfers Paradise
If seafood isn’t your thing, or you are just looking for great Italian, then look no further then Alfresco on Elston. Constantly rated one of the best Italian Restaurants on the Gold Coast, Alfresco on Elston continues to out do itself in quality and taste. Even during its most busy times, service is quick and even long lines are quickly seated.
Along with being an excellent location for larger groups, Alfresco on Elston focuses on breakfast, lunch, dinner, delivery and late night dining.
Something they do well is their selection of share plates (antipasti). Also they have a wide selection of pasta dishes and gourmet pizzas. You can get some of the best pizza on the Gold Coast here. Mains will set you back from $20 to $40 depending on what you want, and share plates will set you back between $10 and $15.

Gemelli Italian | Broadbeach
If you are after cheap and nasty Italian food, this is not the place for you.
If authentic Italian is what you crave, then Gemelli Italian is where you want to go. Gemelli Italian has a reputation in the community for excellent quality Italian and Italian pride that can be tasted in every dish. Translating dishes from Italy, Gemelli Italian works to incorporate local and fresh ingredients into their dishes.
Prices are to be expected with such quality, with pizzas ranging around that $25 mark, with their pasta’s closer to $30. Regardless however, when it comes to Italian of this quality on the Gold Coast, money shouldn’t be a consideration.
Something they do which we’ve not really encountered before is called “Banchetto”. This is where they serve you a selection of their favourite dishes. They choose and you eat. Simple.

Citrique – Marriott Resort & Spa | Surfers Paradise
Located in the Lobby of the world famous, Marriott Resort & Spa, Citrique, takes your dining experience to the next level. With the glass surrounded kitchen in full view of diners you will enjoy the interactive experience of seeing the staff busily preparing the awesome selection of dishes available.
The seafood buffet offers a selection of high quality Australian seafood, (including prawns, bugs, mussels, scallops & crab) roast meats, salads and various specialty dishes from around the world. After dinner, be tempted by the ‘Decadence Zone’, an extensive array of sweets is always there for the taking.
The dinner seafood buffet prices start at $39-59 for children and & $79 for adults. Bookings are recommended.

Sunday- Friday you can sample or feast on the seafood buffet for $84. Non-seafood diners receive a $20 discount. Saturday nights are offered as a premium buffet night and are a little more expensive.
Krish Indian Cuisine | 3 Locations – Robina, Varsity Lakes & Worongary
Whilst distinctly Indian, Krish Indian Cuisine, has incorporated a Fijian influence to its flavours courtesy of the wonderfully mixed heritage of its owners, the Prasad Family, who have owned the award-winning restaurant business for over 25 years.
Love your seafood? Tandoori Bugs are a speciality. Delicious Moreton Bay Bugs basted in spices and cooked to perfection in a clay oven.
Mains are priced from $15. Keep an eye out for dates of special events at the restaurants such as Bollywood dance and magic shows.
Agnee Indian Restaurant | Robina

Share with the kids… Yes. As most parents know when dining out with little ones, a separate meal for them can sometimes go to waste, so this is ideal for saving the hip pocket. Additionally, all meals come with a great range of side dishes.

Wahoo’s Fish Taco | Burleigh Heads
We love spicy food here and we love a good fish taco (surprisingly hard to find!). Luckily we can find both here on the Gold Coast.
If you are looking for more heat and spice, then look no further then some of the excellent Mexican restaurants located along the Gold Coast. A popular favourite for lunch and dinner is Wahoo’s Fish Taco. Wahoo’s Fish Taco made a name for itself when it first opened because of its emphasis on healthy Mexican food.
Large portions are also provided at a price below $10 for most meals. If you find yourself in the area, then try the popular favourite, the fish taco. At $10 for 3, it is an excellent price for the quality.

Casa Mexicana | Labrador
It may be small, but it packs a punch.
Commonly referred to as one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants on the Gold Coast, (why else would it be on this list right?) Casa Mexicana is a well-priced tasty destination that cannot be overlooked. Known for its use of fresh ingredients, it is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
With there being a lot of competition in the Labrador food scene, Casa Mexicana’s food still stands out for its taste and $10 to $20 meals. Casa Mexicana has also picked up a cult following of people who return again and again, swearing by the quality of the food. From wonderful burritos to the margaritas, Casa Mexicana continues to be some of the best Mexican on the Gold Coast. If you love Mexican, then this is a must.

Bazaar | Surfers Paradise
Sometimes, a little of everything is exactly what you need. That is where a buffet restaurant comes in. Offering a wide variety of food, it is often a challenge to find the right mix of cost, selection, and quality. Bazaar manages to do this quite nicely. You are able to stroll around finding exactly what you want from a wide variety of choices, ranging from different types of seafood dishes, meats and stir fry’s.
One of the great things here is is that you can look into a window that shows you all the pre-made meals available at the Bazaar, ranging from tasty pizzas to Asian dishes. There is also a passionate chef dedicated to each region, making the Bazaar the perfect place to try something new. Average dinner cost for adults is $72 while children are $32.
Along with the quality of food, people love the wait staff who set new standards in quality of service and attentiveness. When it comes to buffets, it is hard to beat the Bazaar.
Terraces Restaurant | Main Beach
While it may be hard to beat Bazaar and many buffet restaurants along the Gold Coast try, one of the top contenders and a must stop location for anyone who loves buffets, especially seafood buffets is Terraces Restaurant, based in the Sheraton Mirage resort.
While some Gold Coast seafood buffets skimp on the good stuff, that’s not a problem here, with a great selection of bugs, oysters, natural and Kilpatrik, prawns and salmon. They also do a large selection of roasts and desserts.
Though many buffets struggle with the quality of their food and price, Terraces again and again provides high quality food at a good price. If you like seafood buffets, then this is a must stop location. Terraces Restaurant is open for breakfast between 6 and 10:30am, lunch from 12-3pm, and dinner from 6-10pm.
Ten Japanese Restaurant | Broadbeach
Ten in Japanese translates to heaven, and that is exactly the goal of the staff at Ten Japanese Restaurant… To give you a taste of heaven. Surrounded by authentic Japanese art, the opulent dining areas are only topped by the personalised and first class service.
Food as an art form… The highly qualified staff, use only top quality ingredients, expertly prepared and beautifully presented to you with flair and an obvious pride in their work.
A 5 degustation from the A la carte menu ranges from $110-$150. Omakase 8+ course for a multitude of Japanese flavours is $230.
Hanazono Teppanyaki | Surfers Paradise
Dinner and a show… Specialising in the Japanese cooking art form of Teppanyaki, the super skilled chefs at Hanazono will entertain you whilst they cook up a feast, right there at your table.
Feeling adventurous? Sample the crocodile, served with teppan vegetables, steamed rice, salad and miso soup.
A fully licensed Japanese dining experience, for a reasonable price. In beautiful Broadbeach, the dedicated staff at Osushi, serve up healthy and delicious meals for lunch, dinner or a quick snack.
Toot-toot… Utilising a ‘Train’ around the chef’s station to provide a constant supply of freshly made sushi dishes for those in a hurry or just looking to try something different.
Want a particular dish? No problem, many options such as steak or vegetarian options can be ordered.

Carmody’s Bar & Restaurant at Southport Sharks | Southport
Raising kids is a rewarding and challenging experience. One particularly tricky challenge can be finding restaurants that appeal to both children and parents. Carmody’s Bar & Restaurant at Southport Sharks however manages to pull this off wonderfully. First, Carmody’s is repeatedly rated as one of the top 20 places to eat on the Gold Coast.
Along with its fine dining atmosphere, Carmody’s offers superb food, with some of our favourites including their rack of lamb and duck dishes. In addition to being an excellent place for parents, Carmody also offers a range of child friendly dishes on the kids menu. Also, every Monday, children 12 and under eat for free at the Frenzy Food Court.
A little on the fancier side for a standard family restaurant, Carmody’s Bar & Restaurant is an excellent place to go for a family celebration. Main meals for adults average between $25 to $45, with dishes for children between $15 and $20. Be sure to make a reservation before arriving and enjoy.

Guzman y Gomez | Broadbeach
Another child friendly venue known for excellent food is Guzman y Gomez. Guzman y Gomez focuses on straight up Mexican favourites. Whether you want burritos, nacho’s, fajitas, quesadillas or even a salad, adults and kids a like will find something here.
That means that if you have picky eaters, you will be able to find something for them, no problems at all. Along with having space for children and outdoor seating, Guzman y Gomez Broadbeach works to be child friendly with patient wait staff.
In addition, many of the dishes can be made gluten free in case your children have specific dietary requirements. Each dish can be made with a varying degree of heat, allowing children a wide selection of mild dishes. There are also menu items created specifically for children, at a reduced price from the regular meals.
In general, with their attention to children, affordable pricing, Guzman y Gomez remains one of the best, child friendly places to eat along the Gold Coast, not to mention having some of the best burritos going around in any category.

Mandarin Court Restaurant | Mermaid Beach
Family owned and operated, Mandarin Court, has been feeding the bellies of Gold Coasters with the authentic and sumptuous flavours of China for over 35 years.
